The Stunt Man

There are three main characters in the movie that we watched last week. Two of the main characters do not act like regular people in real life and the third actor does. Nina and Eli represent a parody of Hollywood characters. Eli Cross plays the part of the outrageous movie director who really controls the movie and the others actors lives while filming the movie. He is over the top and won't stop at anything to get his movie finished and perfect. He also represents God in the movie controlling everything and having almost super powers over the people under him. In one of the sets he says almost like he can control the weather that not even a cloud will come over the set.

Nina is a typical scarlet character, mellow dramatic and silly. This is not a very realistic character to me. It seems as though she is a tool that Cross is using to get his movie done perfectly. She is also split between these other two main characters and it kind of gives her this weak and helpless feeling to her character that I did not enjoy. She was not a very realistic character in my eyes because of how pitiful she actually was.

Cameron on the other hand was much different than the other two actors in my eyes. He was a realistic character because he isn't really an actor in this movie. He is just an outsider than has started his carrier by mistake. He gives an outside perspective to the entire situation between Eli and Nina, and makes the movie more interesting while doing it. He has been made into this great actor by Cross because Cross makes him scared and so in the scenes he is not really acting much he is actually fearing for his own life.
